Case Study: Northwest Tank achieves automated billing and improved fleet efficiency with Azuga

A Azuga Case Study

Preview of the Northwest Tank Case Study

Northwest Tank uses Azuga’s GPS fleet tracking to monitor fleet performance

Northwest Tank, a petroleum systems testing and environmental compliance firm serving western gasoline companies since 1992, developed proprietary software to manage customer site testing but needed more precise vehicle data—especially idling, actual fuel use and driver behavior. Traditional hard‑install GPS systems were costly, disruptive and inflexible, so the company sought an affordable, easy-to-install, portable solution that could integrate with its tools and automate billing, maintenance and audits.

After evaluating vendors, Northwest Tank adopted the Azuga GPS device for its functionality and support. The system delivers real‑time location and ETAs, enables accurate time-and-job billing, lets technicians find and assist each other via desktop or mobile apps, and flags fuel-wasting behaviors (idling, speeding, harsh driving) to reduce consumption and schedule preventive maintenance. Combined with the company’s mobile data platform, Azuga automated customer data and asset management, freed staff time for growth, and even supports a driver-recognition program based on performance data.
