Periscope, an innovative media agency, faced the challenge of driving awareness for its client Hopo, a sightseeing ferry service on the Gold Coast. They needed to maximize their marketing budget by reaching potential customers within a tight radius of ferry stops and delivering specific messages to four distinct audience groups: Families, Friends, Seniors, and Tourists. To address this, Periscope partnered with vendor Azira to leverage its geotargeting and audience curation capabilities.
Azira implemented a solution using precise geotargeting to reach audiences within 12km of the main ferry station. They created and delivered tailored high-impact ad units to each customer segment. The campaign delivered over 420,000 impressions with a unique reach of 191,000 people. It exceeded industry benchmarks, with some ad units achieving a click-through rate greater than 1% and the overall campaign CTR improving over time to .38%, successfully driving awareness and website visits for the client.
