The customer, Big W, faced a challenge with its Toy Mania campaign where shoppers were hesitant to purchase large outdoor play equipment online without being able to visualize the items in their own space. To address this, Big W partnered with vendor Azira and Yahoo.
Azira, along with Yahoo, implemented a solution using augmented reality ads built on the Yahoo Immersive Platform. This allowed customers to view products in 360 degrees and place them in their real-world environment via their mobile devices. The results, measured by Azira, included a 48% uplift in store visits from the exposed audience, a 2.5x increase in store visits from users who engaged with the AR ads, and a 16% click-through rate to the online shopping cart.
