Using Mind Mapping for curriculum planning

Stamford American International School, Singapore faced the challenge of making curriculum planning more efficient and creating formative assessment methods that allowed students to develop their own inquiries. Mark Williams, Head of Physical Education, introduced Mind Mapping and implemented the task-management tool DropTask to move beyond whiteboard brainstorming and better organize scope, sequence and differentiation across grade levels — using Ayoa’s Mind Mapping and task-management capabilities to support the process.

Ayoa’s tools let teachers capture, group and prioritize ideas across grades, share and evolve maps during planning, and use Mind Maps as a formative-assessment vehicle so students can explore multiple inquiry paths and build their own statements of understanding. As a result, Stamford American International School reported more efficient planning and focused meetings, improved collaboration, increased student engagement, and deeper conceptual understanding through Ayoa-supported Mind Mapping.
