CEZ Group, a major nuclear power operator in the Czech Republic, sought to streamline its maintenance, inspection, and training processes within its technologically complex and safety-critical power plant environments. To address this challenge, they partnered with vendor AYES to implement a solution utilizing smart glasses and augmented reality.

AYES implemented a solution combining RealWear Navigator™ 500 smart glasses with TeamViewer Frontline software for remote communication and operating procedures. This allowed for remote expert support, real-time document sharing, and hands-free photo and video documentation. The implementation at the Temelín nuclear power plant resulted in significant projected savings, with an estimated reduction in production downtime of just one hour equating to millions of Czech crowns. Additional benefits included more efficient personnel training and enhanced process streamlining. AYES provided the full solution, including hardware, software, and comprehensive support services.
