Case Study: The Port of Yuzhny achieves secure, efficient cargo monitoring with AxxonSoft

Security System Installed at Ukrainian Port

The Port of Yuzhny, a major intermodal cargo hub in southern Ukraine, needed a way to protect cargo integrity without slowing operations. Working with AxxonSoft, the port sought a security platform that could support rail and port surveillance, including recognition of rail car numbers and better monitoring of theft, misallocation, and handling issues.

AxxonSoft implemented an Axxon PSIM-based solution with the Auto PSIM module for rail car and tank car number recognition, along with IP cameras, dedicated storage, and additional lighting. The system provides real-time train and rail car tracking, video logging, cargo inspection support, and searchable records for investigations. As a result, The Port of Yuzhny received an enterprise-class security system that improved theft prevention and operational oversight.
