Case Study: Zhitomir Office for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense boosts public safety with AxxonSoft Axxon PSIM

Safe City Project Implemented with Axxon PSIM in Northern Ukraine

Zhytomir Office for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense needed a “Safe City” system to improve public safety as the city grew into a major business and transport hub in northern Ukraine. The agency wanted 24/7 remote monitoring of key infrastructure, real-time information for law enforcement and first responders, video/audio archiving, and a scalable platform for integrating cameras, maps, analytics, and other city systems. AxxonSoft’s Axxon PSIM was chosen as the core platform for the project.

AxxonSoft implemented an integrated city-wide surveillance solution with stationary and PTZ cameras, Hikvision IP cameras, video analytics, and centralized monitoring at the City Information Center, with access also extended to law enforcement and the BSI-Group central monitoring station. The result was real-time city video surveillance, faster response to incidents, better coordination between agencies, improved crime prevention and investigation, and archived footage available to authorized services. While the case study does not cite numeric KPIs, it states the system fully met the client’s needs and increased confidence among residents, investors, and stakeholders.
