Case Study: Zhitomir achieves real-time citywide surveillance and faster emergency response with AxxonSoft (Axxon Next)

Safe City project implemented with Axxon Next in Northern Ukraine

Zhitomir, a regional administrative and transport hub in northern Ukraine, needed a Safe City solution to provide 24/7 monitoring of key infrastructure, real‑time access for law enforcement and first responders, improved coordination between city services, and reliable archiving of video. AxxonSoft was selected for its flexible, user‑friendly Axxon Next platform to serve as the software “heart” of the system.

AxxonSoft implemented Axxon Next as an integrated monitoring hub, consolidating feeds from over 30 cameras (Infinity 2000EX, Infinity ISE‑2000EX PTZ and Hikvision units) with IR filtering and 3D DNR for low‑light conditions, linked workstations at law‑enforcement agencies, and connection to the BSI‑Group central monitoring station. The deployment delivered real‑time, city‑wide surveillance for the first time, faster incident response and easier crime investigation and prevention, with archived video available on demand.
