Intellect-Powered Surveillance Installed at Spanish Stadium

Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero in Elche, Spain, faced repeated altercations among aggressive fans and needed a solution to filter known troublemakers, monitor crowds at long range, and control access. Stadium management selected AxxonSoft’s Intellect Enterprise PSIM (Intellect) to provide facial recognition, long-range high-resolution video monitoring and license plate recognition.

AxxonSoft’s Intellect platform was deployed (Stage 1 began Sept 2013) with about 50 cameras installed by partner Akra Live Soluciones IT to deliver gap-free surveillance of seating and high-traffic areas; the system collects entry and seating data so a troublemaker can be identified within minutes, prevents evasion by disguise or seat changes, and supports license-plate access control. Intellect proved scalable, low-maintenance, and passed on-site trials for facial recognition and group tracking, with further facial-recognition roll-out planned.
