Intellect Lite powers new video surveillance system at popular Austrian retailer

SPAR, one of the world’s largest supermarket chains with 1,586 stores in Austria, needed a reliable, easy-to-configure CCTV solution to protect high-traffic retail locations. AxxonSoft, via partner AlbiControl, proposed Intellect Lite — a streamlined version of its Intellect platform — because it met SPAR’s core needs while lowering purchase and support costs compared with the full enterprise edition.

AxxonSoft’s Intellect Lite system was deployed with servers supporting up to 64 cameras (typical stores using nine–ten cameras per server on Intel Core i5 machines), 60 GB SSD + 2 TB NAS storage, and unlimited remote operator workstations. The solution enabled real-time monitoring, fast forensic searches, video analytics, and automatic reaction scripts; SPAR reported the system is reliable, powerful and simple to configure, and plans to roll out similar Intellect Lite installations across more Austrian stores.
