Grupo RAS secures a $120M logistics park with AxxonSoft and 200 cameras

Grupo RAS, an international logistics and transportation company, needed to transform the security at its major logistics park in Montevideo, Uruguay, from a passive video monitoring system into an intelligent platform. Their challenge was to integrate existing hardware, extend video storage, and implement AI-powered analytics for real-time detection and efficient forensic investigations. They partnered with AxxonSoft to implement the Axxon One video management system.

The AxxonSoft solution integrated 200 cameras, alarms, and access control into a unified platform featuring analytics for intrusion, fire, and license plate recognition. This provided Grupo RAS with more reliable alerts, faster response times, and greatly improved forensic search capabilities, allowing them to compile evidence for third-party operators. The project was so successful that a second phase to expand the system to a new bonded warehouse was launched.
