Ensuring Traffic and Logistics Remote Video Surveillance at the Busiest Port in Malaysia

Penang Port, the busiest port in Malaysia, needed a better way to secure six major sites and manage container tracking across road and sea traffic. Before the project, container numbers were entered manually and the port relied on standalone analog and IP cameras without a centralized surveillance platform, creating risks of human error and gaps in monitoring. AxxonSoft implemented intelligent video surveillance with AI LPR/ANPR, smart search, and container tracking at toll gates and quay cranes, all monitored from a 24/7 operations center. The unified system improved port-wide visibility, automated container number capture and tracking, and included failover protection for uninterrupted monitoring.
