Ensuring Passenger Safety at Wrocław Main Station

Wrocław Railway Station, the historic rail hub serving one of Poland’s largest cities, needed a modern, centralized surveillance solution to handle enormous passenger flows and meet tight modernization deadlines ahead of UEFA Euro 2012. Management required full camera coverage, precise video analytics, and integration of access control and fire/security alarms into a single infrastructure, so they selected AxxonSoft’s Axxon Intellect PSIM as the core of the new system.

AxxonSoft’s Intellect platform was deployed (installation by Qumak) to create a central monitoring hub with 266 cameras, 13 servers, Galaxy and Polon integration modules, and massive multilayer interactive maps of 328 levels for situational awareness. The solution unified video, alarms and access control, delivered reliable day-to-day operations, improved passenger monitoring and station management, and supported a smooth, incident-free Euro 2012—demonstrating clear operational and security improvements.
