Axxon Next Safeguards the Pupils of the Blue Coat School

The Blue Coat School, a leading co-educational independent day school in Edgbaston, Birmingham, needed to secure a complex 14-acre campus with 12 main buildings, sports facilities used by the public, private on-site residences and recurring parking and one-way gate misuse. To address safeguarding and operational challenges the school worked with AxxonSoft, deploying Axxon Next Universe software (alongside a Secure Logiq Qube workstation) to provide advanced, analytics-driven CCTV and access control capabilities.

AxxonSoft’s solution combined Axxon Next Universe with 17 cameras (including 12 4K and 2 ANPR cameras integrated with Paxton access control) and Secure Logiq processing to deliver human/vehicle tracking, face and license-plate search, time-compression review and real-time alerts. The system enabled staff to identify a perpetrator within minutes from a 12-hour window, compress six hours of footage into 90 seconds for review, prevent unregistered vehicles exiting/entering via ANPR gate control, and lower total cost of ownership with no annual or upgrade fees.
