Axxon Next provides security for residents in Yangsan, South Korea

Yangsan, South Korea, a city of about 300,000 residents, needed a modern, reliable urban security system after earlier deployments suffered video interference, server crashes when many cameras were added, poor archive search usability, difficulty integrating third‑party systems, and trouble supporting high‑resolution cameras. The city selected AxxonSoft’s Axxon Next video management system (Axxon Next Professional license) to provide a central control hub, long‑term recording, high‑performance video servers, integration capabilities, and a user‑friendly operator interface.

GBU Datalinks deployed AxxonSoft’s Axxon Next VMS across roughly 900 locations with over 2,500 cameras, 15 client stations and 13 video servers, storing footage locally for 30 days. AxxonSoft’s analytics (Forensic Search, TimeCompressor, Face Search, ANPR) plus optimizations like GreenStream and Intel Quick Sync enabled each server to support up to 200 cameras (vs. 70 previously), eliminated playback glitches, dramatically reduced server count and power use, lowered total cost of ownership, and improved integrations and operator efficiency.
