Case Study: GBU DataLinks achieves reliable, high-performance city surveillance and major hardware reductions with AxxonSoft's Axxon Next

Preview of the GBU DataLinks Case Study

Axxon Next provides security for residents in Yangsan, South Korea

GBU DataLinks delivered the Safe Yangsan project to secure Yangsan, a city of about 300,000 residents, after the previous urban security system suffered video interference, server crashes when multiple cameras were added, poor third‑party integration, unusable archive search, limited high‑resolution camera support, and an unwieldy server footprint. To address these issues GBU DataLinks selected AxxonSoft’s Axxon Next VMS as the core platform for the new solution.

GBU DataLinks deployed Axxon Next Professional (with one Axxon Next Universe license for Offline Analytics) across roughly 2,500 cameras in ~900 locations, feeding 15 client PCs and 13 video servers with 30‑day local recording. AxxonSoft’s analytics (Forensic Search, TimeCompressor, Face Search, ANPR), GreenStream and Intel Quick Sync optimizations enabled smooth integrations via the Axxon Next SDK, eliminated playback glitches, increased server capacity to about 200 cameras per server (vs. 70 previously), dramatically reduced hardware and TCO, and improved operator efficiency; AxxonSoft and GBU DataLinks continue to provide support and training.
