Axxon Next protects 50,000m² Vaal Mall in Vanderbijlpark

Vaal Mall, the 50,000 m² shopping centre in Vanderbijlpark with 135 stores and parking for over 3,000 cars, faced typical mall security challenges — petty and organised crime in stores and parking areas, plus the need for rapid access to high-quality video for ID and incident response. To address these risks Vaal Mall engaged AxxonSoft and deployed Axxon Next 4.0 Professional as their VMS.

AxxonSoft implemented a multi-camera solution (panoramic, MP and PTZ) with 133 active channels across two servers, operator stations running Axxon Next, a 12‑monitor video wall, Tag&Track for automatic suspect following, after-hours motion alarms and Instant playback for rapid review. The deployment improved situational awareness across the mall, helped catch criminals (including illegal trade captured during commissioning), aided guards and management, provided footage for insurance and lost‑item recovery, and delivered measurable coverage and operational control through AxxonSoft’s platform.
