Case Study: Ulan Bator achieves safer streets and smoother traffic management with AxxonSoft's Intellect

Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia, faced rising crime in public places and heavy traffic congestion that led to accidents. To tackle these issues the city administration selected AxxonSoft’s Intellect platform (including an Auto Intellect road‑safety solution) to provide forensic surveillance, reliable license‑plate recognition, and a scalable distributed security system.

AxxonSoft implemented a 24/7 monitoring system comprising 129 cameras (GeoVision and Tattile cameras with on‑board LPR, plus PTZ cameras with recognition in police cars), backed by 2 main servers, 6 mobile servers and 8 remote clients, with installation support from SECTECH. The AxxonSoft solution improved police efficiency, enabled real‑time traffic monitoring and control of booming traffic flows, and reliably identified license plates to enforce Mongolia’s day‑based driving restrictions.
