Preview of the Statoil Case Study

Axxon Intellect is providing security for the expanding network of Statoil petrol stations in Russia

Statoil, the Norwegian oil and gas company expanding its petrol station network across Northwest Russia, faced the need for a scalable, reliable security platform to protect forecourts, convenience stores, ATMs, car washes and support centralized monitoring as its retail footprint grew. To meet those requirements the company selected AxxonSoft’s Intellect video management solution to provide unified, station-wide surveillance and ancillary functions like audio recording and access control.

AxxonSoft’s Intellect was deployed (via systems integrator Universal) as 32-camera installations with 32-channel video servers, remote workstations, dual 19‑inch operator monitors, and archives expanded from 1.2 TB to 3 TB (enabling about 1.5 months of retention) and average recording at 4 fps. The solution delivered centralized, scalable monitoring, improved dispute resolution and operational oversight, and convinced Statoil to outfit all new Pskov Region stations with AxxonSoft Intellect as a key component of their security strategy.
