Swiss Post, Switzerland’s national postal operator, needed to modernize how it handled huge, sensitive file transfers for document-output services as it bridged the physical and digital worlds. Its homegrown transfer system could not meet growing demands for availability, monitoring, SLAs and regulatory compliance, nor the massive scale required for printing and delivering customer statements, invoices and other confidential payloads.

Swiss Post deployed Axway SecureTransport, Axway Transfer CFT and Axway Sentinel to handle SFTP transmission, preprocessing, routing and high‑speed internal dispatch. After migration (2014–2015) the solution now automates zero‑touch transfers, moves over 125,000 files/month (250+ GB) and supports peaks up to 500,000 files/day, delivering high capacity, reliability, data integrity and security — enabling compliance with SLAs and regulators and new services like the consumer-facing E‑Post Office.
