Sanofi Consolidates and Cuts Costs with Axway Managed File Transfer

Sanofi, a global pharmaceutical leader active in more than 100 countries, faced a major IT challenge: consolidate 26 legacy data centers into three regional Global Infrastructure Services centers while standardizing managed file transfer (MFT) across diverse UNIX and Windows environments, integrating acquisitions and new lines of business, and replacing costly, hard-to-manage VPNs.

Sanofi implemented Axway Transfer CFT and Axway Gateway, along with Axway Workstation (and plans for Sentinel), to industrialize multi‑platform MFT and secure external exchanges. The solution delivered significant administration and hardware/telecom cost savings, eliminated per-customer VPNs, enabled autonomous user file transfers, supported ~8,000 daily transfers with scalable, secure performance, and improved onboarding and operational efficiency through intuitive interfaces and real‑time support.
