Project “Open Innovation” ensures compliance, expands services, and delivers a seamless user experience with secure APIs

ACOSS (Central Agency of Social Security Organizations) manages the treasury for France’s social security system and collects contributions from millions of contributors. Faced with the Digital Republic law, new collaborative-economy regulations and opportunities to offer value-added services (like issuing contribution certificates and allowing platforms to declare on users’ behalf), ACOSS needed to “API-ise” its systems while ensuring equal treatment of partners, strong security against abuse, and new internal teams to support partner integrations.

ACOSS selected Axway’s API Management to expose secure, well-governed APIs with local support, and rolled out collaborative-economy APIs with an API portal to simplify access. The solution enabled secure partner integrations, a smoother user experience across platforms, the ability to automate declarations and certificates, and a stronger positioning of ACOSS as a service provider rather than merely a collector of contributions.
