Crédit Agricole CIB, the corporate and investment banking arm of Crédit Agricole active across 50+ countries and a leader in cash management, faced the upcoming phase-out of the ETEBAC/X.25 protocol and the move to SEPA/EBICS standards. The bank needed to migrate thousands of client connections without interrupting daily payment and reporting flows, while also improving time-to-market, security and multi-channel international capabilities.

In 2009 Crédit Agricole CIB implemented Axway Financial Integration (with Axway Transfer CFT) to support EBICS 2.4 and multi-channel, multi-format processing; rollout and publisher testing were completed by year-end and the first client migrated in February 2010. The platform delivered a robust, secure and automated integration layer that ensured continuity of service, faster service delivery, simpler administration and expanded client acquisition channels—boosting service quality, SEPA-readiness and international growth.
