E.ON AG, one of the world’s largest investor‑owned power and gas companies, needed a secure, scalable way to handle growing volumes of external file exchanges across retail, treasury and many other departments. Email was failing for large or sensitive files and point‑to‑point VPNs were costly and slow; E.ON also needed to permit Internet‑based transfers while meeting strict corporate security policies and accelerating data exchange during frequent acquisitions.

E.ON deployed Axway SecureTransport, initially used for its TREMA treasury system and rolled out to retail partners and internal teams.
