Case Study: STET (France’s largest Automated Clearing House) achieves scalable, zero-incident processing of 13 billion payments annually with Axway Gateway (Axway)

A Axway Case Study

Preview of the STET Case Study

Largest Automated Clearing House in Europe uses Axway Gateway to Process 13 Billion Payments Yearly

STET is France’s central automated clearing house and one of Europe’s largest payment processors: its CORE system (launched 2008) processes some 13 billion transactions a year (€5.1 trillion) for over 500 financial institutions. STET needed a flexible, standards-compliant platform able to migrate diverse legacy payment instruments to SEPA and other local/global protocols while supporting European expansion and industry consolidation.

STET implemented Axway Gateway as a single multi-protocol, multi-channel gateway (handling SWIFTNet, PeSIT, EBICS and more), which now processes all CORE traffic. The solution delivered high scalability (benchmarked to 300M transactions/day and 30M/hour), zero technical incidents, strong regulatory/compliance posture, lower operating costs and the ability to expand across Europe without changing infrastructure—enabling competitive, low transaction fees.
