A Axway Case Study
ENGIE, a global energy group shifting to low‑carbon and energy‑as‑a‑service models, needed to centralize internal and external data and share it flexibly, efficiently and securely to support machine learning, innovation and partner collaboration. The company aimed to become an API‑first, data‑driven enterprise by building a Common Data Hub and a “portal of portals” to publish and govern APIs without forcing business units to abandon their existing tools.
To do this ENGIE implemented Axway AMPLIFY API Management on AWS and built a Common API portal with microservices and a Metrics API, supported by Axway consultants to improve CI/CD and analytics. The platform preserved BU autonomy while standardizing access and security, accelerated development of data‑driven services, enabled faster and safer partner collaboration, cut data requests to weather providers by threefold (reducing costs), and provided centralized metrics to drive monetization and faster time‑to‑market.
