A Axway Case Study
Axalta, a global coatings company headquartered in Philadelphia with 150 years of experience and more than 100,000 customers, needed a modern B2B e‑commerce portal for its refinishing business to give small and medium customers online ordering and self-service. The challenge was to verify regulated professional buyers, integrate the new shop with existing EDI/back-end systems, and standardize and automate order-entry processes to reduce costs and strengthen competitiveness.
Axalta deployed Axway API Gateway together with Axway TradeSync Integration Manager (TSIM) to provide API management, secure customer verification, catalog browsing, simulated pricing, mobile barcode wish‑lists and fully automated data flows into back-end systems. The solution delivered centralized security and monitoring, standardized and faster order processing, new opportunities for targeted marketing, cross‑selling and online-only channels, and a clear competitive differentiator.
