A Axway Case Study
ZF Group, a global supplier of driveline and chassis technology with hundreds of service locations and partners worldwide, needed reliable, fast B2B communications to support just‑in‑time and just‑in‑sequence deliveries. After consolidating ERP/EAI systems into a single B2B platform, ZF experienced performance and reliability problems—especially with OFTP, the industry standard protocol—and lacked adequate monitoring and visibility to quickly identify and resolve errors.
ZF split its communication and integration platforms and adopted Axway Trade Sync Integration Manager (TSIM) as its central EDI hub, deploying local TSIM gateways and a Webservice/SOAP connector for integration. The change restored stable, high‑performing OFTP communications, enabled timely JIT/JIS messaging, cut support effort roughly in half through improved monitoring and reporting, and delivered faster, more reliable messaging across a global network handling millions of transactions monthly.
