Case Study: Takata achieves zero-downtime, secure EDI and billing protection with Axway TSIM and Sentinel

A Axway Case Study

Axway TSIM and Sentinel A powerful combination for Takata’s automotive business

Takata AG, the European arm of the global automotive safety supplier Takata Corporation, needed a highly reliable EDI system to manage time-sensitive JIT/JIS deliveries and ASNs across its partners, customers and suppliers. The company also required flexible, process-specific monitoring to strengthen system security, catch missing or errored messages, and gain leverage in billing and operational discussions.

Takata deployed Axway TSIM for EDI and the Axway Sentinel monitoring layer. TSIM reliably handles about 1,500 messages a day with virtually no downtime and its Business Object Modeler lets Takata define and modify mappings in-house; Sentinel provides customizable dashboards and alerts (including VAN traffic reports) that catch billing discrepancies, prevent late-fee penalties, improve error tracking and overall security, delivering clear ROI.
