Axway Transfer CFT — A2A Communications that Keep Assembly Lines Moving

PSA Peugeot Citroën, a leading global automaker, faced the challenge of ensuring fast, accurate and secure application-to-application (A2A) data flows across a heterogeneous IT landscape and worldwide operations. Reliable, timely file exchanges were critical to support supplier collaboration, multiple SAP instances, and Just‑in‑Time/Just‑in‑Sequence manufacturing—any disruption could stall assembly lines or delay spare‑parts delivery.

PSA standardized on Axway Transfer CFT with Axway Sentinel, deploying around 1,800 instances to handle roughly 2.5 million transfers per month and some 38,000 message flows. The solution provided a common interface across platforms, automated secure transfers with automatic resume and integrated alerting, centralized management that interfaces with PSA’s own tools, and operational efficiency that kept assembly lines moving and parts arriving on time.
