Axway Provides Industry-Wide Data Exchange Platform for Insurance Companies and Brokers

The CSCA (Chambre Syndicale des Courtiers d’Assurances), the French trade association for insurance brokers, was facing fragmentation from proprietary insurer extranets that forced brokers into time-consuming double data entry, limited their choice of partners and eroded their independence and value-added services. The association needed a secure, industry-wide standard to streamline exchanges and restore broker autonomy.

CSCA adopted the Axway Insurance Exchange (Gateway, Integrator, Sentinel, PassPort) to build a Brokerage Exchange Platform supporting the EDIcourtage 2010 standard. The platform translates, routes and monitors messages, enforces security and scales to handle millions of daily exchanges; pilots with major insurers, brokers and software vendors proved successful. As a result, double data entry was eliminated, data accuracy improved, market access widened for brokers, and insurers gained economies of scale from a common, standardized exchange.
