Case Study: DB Schenker (Region Europe Central) reduces TCO and streamlines EDI governance with Axway B2Bi & Sentinel

A Axway Case Study

Preview of the DB Schenker Case Study

Axway B2Bi governs the flow of data for DB Schenker’s Region Europe Central, to streamline delivery of goods and services

DB Schenker Region Europe Central, part of the global DB Schenker logistics group, operates more than 100 locations across Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland and faced a fragmented EDI landscape with dozens of local integration systems. This decentralization caused duplicated costs, inconsistent onboarding, limited visibility and customer service issues, so the Region needed a centrally hosted, flexible and scalable EDI platform to migrate more than 50 local implementations and enforce governance and security.

The Region selected the Axway 5 Suite (Axway B2Bi and Axway Sentinel) and went live in July 2012 with a centralized platform in Frankfurt. Since then it has connected 1,150+ new customers and begun migrating thousands of existing connections, delivering standardized processes, lower TCO, improved stability and availability (no downtime reported for over a year), stronger data-flow governance and easier integration for services like e‑invoicing and WMS/TMS connectivity.
