France’s National Family Allowances Fund (CNAF) is the country’s family branch of social security, serving over 30 million people, distributing €73 billion a year through more than 120 million transfers and operating via 103 local offices. Facing a surge in real‑time traffic and complex co‑production with public and private partners, the Fund needed secure, interoperable communications, data certification, fraud prevention and a move toward paperless, lower‑cost operations while meeting strict availability and security standards.

The Fund deployed Axway’s platform — including API Gateway, B2B, MFT, Integrator, Passport and Sentinel — to govern 200,000+ real‑time transactions daily, implement French InterOps/SAML standards, and centralize encryption, authentication and token management. The modular solution industrialized development (reducing dev time from 100 to 15 man‑days), lowered total cost of ownership, strengthened fraud detection, expanded co‑production of services and improved system availability and the customer experience.
