Real-Time User Data Stream Processing And Validation For US Based Auto Assistance Company

US Based Auto Assistance Company, a U.S.-based provider with more than 50 million members, needed a way to handle real-time sensor data from thousands of vehicles. Its devices generated second-by-second journey files, but the data was often partial, incorrect, or corrupt, creating problems for downstream processes such as user-based insurance and future service planning. Axtria was brought in to help process and validate this high-volume vehicle data.

Axtria implemented Apache Storm across multiple machines to enable parallel processing and rapid validation of the incoming data streams, along with more than 150 test cases to clean and verify data in under a second. The solution improved real-time data management and data quality, while also bucketing validated information for advanced analytics. As a result, the customer could better analyze driving behavior, identify frequent routes and service needs, and improve future service offerings and insurance-related processes.
