Skytron, a Grand Rapids–based manufacturer of surgical lights, booms, tables and sterilizers, needed a modern, easy-to-use way for its sales team and 50+ distributors to visually configure products, design room layouts, present accurate quotes, and showcase designs in virtual reality. To meet those needs Skytron selected Axonom and its Powertrak 3D Visual Product Configurator to replace the legacy visualization tool and deliver an integrated visual CPQ and VR experience.
Axonom’s Powertrak 3D CPQ and Powertrak VRoom enable drag-and-drop 3D product configuration, precise floor planning, real-time quoting and mobile/tethered VR walkthroughs. The solution reduced design and quoting friction, improved equipment placement accuracy, and accelerated sales cycles — distributors report higher close rates and new business (Precision Surgical attributed a potential $500,000 sale to the tool) — while driving broader adoption across Skytron’s channel and stronger customer engagement.
