Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, a division of Shimadzu Corporation that manufactures analytical instruments, struggled with a rigid legacy quoting application in Microsoft Dynamics CRM that created IT bottlenecks, forced one-size-fits-all product templates (which could have required maintaining 20+ system instances), and led to a steep learning curve and quoting inaccuracies for complex product kits.
