Lee Health, one of Florida’s largest not‑for‑profit public health systems, was experiencing frequent violent incidents that drove up medical claims and lost work days among security and clinical staff. To address this, Lee Health partnered with Axon and deployed the TASER 7 program across its network of hospitals and care facilities in April 2022.

Axon’s TASER 7 deployment delivered immediate, measurable results: in the first year Lee Health reported an 84% reduction in total lost days and an 89% reduction in medical claims (total cost of incidents fell to $18,069), with lost days dropping to zero for two consecutive quarters and quarterly reductions of 67% and 82% after rollout. Axon projects a roughly 3.5x–3.8x ROI over five years if the improvements persist, and Lee Health has expanded its partnership with Axon to additional devices.
