Panda Tank and Vac Truck Services of Grande Prairie, AB, struggled to manage its growing oilfield hauling business using QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets where bills of lading (tickets) were hard to find and fuel, dispatch and equipment records were manual and time-consuming. To scale operations and improve visibility across three branches, Panda moved to Axon trucking management software beginning January 1, 2006.
Axon implemented a full-suite, real-time trucking solution—ticketing, fuel import, dispatch, maintenance, payroll, billing and reporting—used by about 14 users across three offices. The integrated Axon system helped Panda grow its fleet to over 80 units, cut monthly fuel processing from hours to minutes, speed ticket processing and invoicing, reduce errors on owner-operator statements, and improve dispatch visibility and customer service. Axon’s training and ongoing support also smoothed the transition and sustained these operational gains.
