Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council needed a more capable information‑request system that could replace older tools seamlessly, provide self‑service for the public, manage request tracking, reporting and public disclosure, and stay compliant with changing legislation. The system delivered measurable benefits — time and cost savings, improved compliance with OIC deadlines, streamlined reporting, and the capacity to absorb double‑digit year‑on‑year growth (about 1,900–2,000 valid requests in 2014) — while enabling Dudley to adopt further features like Report Builder and transparency functions.
