Case Study: Internet Nature Channel streams remote wildlife to millions with Axis Communications

A Axis Communications Case Study

Preview of the Internet Nature Channel Case Study

The Internet Nature Channel shows the bird’s eye view with streaming Axis network cameras

Internet Nature Channel (INC) needed to bring live, high‑definition views of wildlife from remote, often power‑limited locations to online audiences. To meet that challenge INC deployed Axis Communications network cameras — including AXIS Q6045‑E Mk II PTZ domes, AXIS P1214‑E fixed cameras and supporting I/O/audio modules — chosen for their rugged outdoor housings and suitability for solar, Wi‑Fi and cellular installations.

Axis Communications’ PTZ and fixed cameras were installed on nests, wetlands and reserves (some up trees or on poles, many solar‑powered), enabling reliable 24/7 live streams that broadened INC’s reach; the streams sparked global engagement — a national bald eagle feed drew over five million unique visitors in one day and generated multiple national media stories — and installations have run for years while more organizations sign on to INC’s streaming portfolio.
