Panduit Corp, a global physical infrastructure solutions provider, needed to modernize perimeter security as part of its Unified Physical Infrastructure strategy and centrally monitor PTZ cameras at seven U.S. manufacturing/warehouse sites and selected global facilities from its new world headquarters. To replace disparate analog systems and reduce on-site investigations, Panduit turned to Axis Communications and its AXIS 233D PTZ Network Cameras for networked, remotely managed video surveillance.

Axis Communications’ PTZ cameras were deployed worldwide (with integration by IPVision), tied into Panduit’s Unified Operations Center and access control, and protected in outdoor enclosures for extreme environments. The Axis solution uses intelligent video analytics and event-based streaming so HQ staff can remotely view, pan/tilt/zoom and track perimeter events—reducing local responses and delivering an estimated 16-month ROI from labor savings while improving centralized, proactive perimeter security.
