Missouri church creates safe havens for parishioners and guests with Axis network cameras and video encoders

James River Assembly Church, with busy Ozark and Springfield campuses serving thousands each week, struggled to monitor activity using multiple standalone analog systems. Seeking a multi‑campus, networked surveillance solution, the church turned to Axis Communications technology—deploying Axis network cameras and video encoders to overcome the limitations of its legacy analog systems.

Axis Communications’ solution (deployed by partner NetWatch and integrated with an OnSSI VMS) network‑enabled 120 existing analog cameras with AXIS 241Q video encoders and added more than 200 Axis network cameras for centralized monitoring. The system enabled staff to identify and recover stolen property, locate an individual carrying a weapon, reduce misuse of equipment and dangerous horseplay, give parents greater peace of mind, and extend video archiving up to 180 days—demonstrating clear operational and safety improvements using Axis Communications’ cameras and encoders.
