The Orlando Eye (Merlin Entertainment) needed a high‑performance security and access-control solution to protect a new combined venue housing a 400‑foot observation wheel, Madame Tussaud’s Orlando and SEA LIFE Orlando while keeping visitor traffic flowing. To meet those needs, Merlin engaged Signature Systems of Florida and deployed Axis Communications network video technology as the core camera solution alongside Milestone and Open Options for video management and access control.

Signature Systems implemented an integrated system featuring over 250 Axis Communications high‑definition PTZ and fixed cameras (including AXIS P5534, P5522‑E, P33 and P3364‑VE models) connected to Milestone XProtect Enterprise VMS and Open Options’ DNA Fusion. The PoE Axis cameras—capable of up to 1‑megapixel recording—delivered immediate, clear imagery, simplified administration (frame‑rate/rotation control) and easier installation, resulting in rapid operational effectiveness, improved site-wide monitoring and stronger access control; Merlin reports continued success and plans to expand the Axis/Milestone/Open Options solution further.
