A Axis Communications Case Study
BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, a global Hindu faith and charitable organization with Mandirs in Stafford, TX and Chino Hills, CA, faced the challenge of protecting intricately carved Italian marble and Turkish/pink sandstone architecture from vandalism and damage. Their existing analog systems produced poor image quality and no preemptive alerts, so BAPS turned to Axis Communications for an intelligent, proactive video surveillance solution using Axis network cameras and related products.
Axis Communications deployed a suite of Axis cameras (including AXIS P3364‑LV, P3346, P1346, M1054 and Q6035), video encoders, and integration with Genetec Security Center plus Preferred Technologies’ “Snapshot to Email,” Veracity COLDSTORE (90TB) storage and I/O-triggered alarms. The system delivers cross-line detection, IR night imaging, automatic email screenshots and siren/strobe activation, records at 5 fps (ramping to 12–15 fps on motion) and enabled immediate, measurable results—most notably a thief fleeing after lights/sound and a camera-captured photo provided to police—giving BAPS proactive, scalable protection of its Mandirs.
