Green Bay Area Public School District, serving 21,000 students across 38 schools in a 92‑square‑mile area, was operating a 12‑year‑old analog CCTV system that had exceeded its useful life. Needing HDTV image quality, centralized WAN-based management, and remote maintenance, the district chose Axis Communications for an IP camera upgrade.

Axis Communications supplied an IP solution of 556 high‑definition AXIS P3344 and AXIS P3367‑VE fixed‑dome network cameras integrated with Video Insight VMS (installed via Axis partners), enabling remote adjustments, map/floor‑plan navigation, secure distributed storage and rapid video search that once took days but now takes seconds. The Axis system expanded coverage and forensic capability—allowing forensic zooming to identify suspects by clothing and gait (leading to an apprehension)—and delivered clear operational metrics across all 38 schools.
