Springfield Food Court needed a cost-effective security system to monitor large, dispersed food-court areas across several states and to curb theft and employee/customer misconduct. Axis Communications provided the solution, supplying Axis video servers and network cameras with pan, tilt and zoom (PTZ) capabilities so managers could remotely view operations from any location.

Axis Communications installed five Axis video servers and 22 PTZ cameras in two locations, digitizing analog feeds and streaming secured video to a web portal for 24/7 access. The deployment cut management monitoring time by about 25%, reduced losses by tens of thousands of dollars annually, cost under $30,000 for the two sites and paid for itself in the first year; Springfield Food Court is now rolling out Axis systems to its remaining locations.
