Bozeman Yellowstone Airport chooses Axis cameras and exacqVision video management system (VMS) software for terminal expansion security solution

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, experiencing record growth and a $42 million terminal expansion, needed to replace an aging analog video system with an IP-based security solution to support higher-resolution monitoring and better user access. Axis Communications was selected (via recommendations from RS&H and integration by Video and Sound Service, Inc.) to provide Axis network cameras and an open API platform that could integrate with exacqVision VMS and RS2 Technologies access control.

Axis Communications’ solution—including AXIS P3344, AXIS P1344-E / P1347-E and AXIS 233D cameras integrated with exacqVision Enterprise VMS—deployed 150 IP cameras across the airport. The new Axis Communications system lets public safety monitor multiple feeds simultaneously, automatically displays motion events, restricts video access to appropriate users, and speeds incident resolution (for example, quickly identifying switched luggage), resulting in more efficient staffing and a more secure airport.
