ASIS International enhances access control and network camera system with Axis Communications

ASIS International, a leading organization for security professionals based in Alexandria, Virginia, needed to upgrade the camera and access control systems throughout its seven‑floor headquarters to secure areas such as the lobby, reception, shipping/receiving, parking garage, data center and executive offices. Axis Communications was engaged to modernize the facility’s networked security, supplying Axis network cameras and door controllers to replace and enhance the existing infrastructure.

Axis Communications, together with partners IMRON, Milestone Systems and Vision Technologies, installed more than 40 Axis door controllers with card readers and a mix of fixed‑dome and PTZ Axis network cameras, integrated via Milestone XProtect VMS and IMRON’s access‑control software. The solution provides crisp video quality and centralized monitoring by a reception guard, delivering a smooth, high standard of security for ASIS International; the organization plans to expand the system with additional parking‑garage access control and license‑plate‑recognition analytics.
