The Danish Defence IT Agency faced the challenge of securely sharing information between its secure network and Denmark's mandated e-Boks platform. They needed to automate manual, costly processes and control data transmissions to prevent unauthorized leaks while complying with national law. To solve this, they partnered with Axiomatics and implemented its Policy Server for fine-grained authorization, integrated with an Axway API Gateway.

The Axiomatics solution, integrated by Sopra Steria, provided automated, policy-based control over data transfers, replacing labor-intensive postal and USB-based methods. This resulted in a massive 96% reduction in postage costs and a full return on investment within just six months. The implementation also enabled faster integration of new services and provided a secure foundation for future expansion with healthcare providers and international partners.
