The Ray & Diana Harryhausen Foundation manages 50,000-item archive with Axiell

The Ray & Diana Harryhausen Foundation, which cares for one of the world's largest animation archives, faced the challenge of cataloging and managing an estimated 50,000 items spanning the legendary animator's career. To study the history of these objects and plan for exhibitions and restorations, the Foundation turned to Axiell and implemented its Adlib collections management system.

Axiell's solution provided the Foundation with a database to meticulously catalogue the vast collection, which was instrumental in planning exhibitions, detailing restorations, and uncovering information about Ray Harryhausen’s unique working practices. This work by Axiell directly supported the Foundation's preparations for celebrating Ray Harryhausen's centenary in 2020.
